Business Compost Guidelines
Unlike residential compost, Portland’s business compost is strictly food-only. All food scraps are acceptable to compost regardless of quality, quantity, or state of degradation.
In addition to all food scraps, it is acceptable to compost coffee grounds in paper filters, tea, and compostable bags certified by Biodegradable Products Institute, Inc.
